Compliance Requirements

Ensure you have met the following compliance requirements for the project:

  • Reviewed all relevant micro-generation regulations outlined in Alta Reg 27/2008.
  • Reviewed the applicable wires owner's micro-generation interconnection requirements and terms and conditions.
  • Met all applicable municipal and zoning requirements, including noise rules and by-laws.
  • Completed the participant involvement program stated in AUC Rule 007.
  • Met the requirement s stated in AUS Rule 012 Noise Control.
  • Inverteers comply with "CSA C22.3 No9:20 - Interconnection of distributed energy resources and electricity supply systems" in particular standards respecting "Anti-islanding"
    • Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standard not available to the general public (i.e. requires purchase from CSA). All electrical equipment used in a micro-generator (e.g. panels, inverters, optimizers, etc.) must be compliant with CSA C22.3 No9:20 and is listed in the "Compliance" section of the specifications sheet provided by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Inverters comply with "UL1741 Supplement A and Supplement B - Standard for Inverters, Converters, Controllers and Interconnection System Equipment for Use with Distributed Energy Resources"
    • Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standard not available to the general public (i.e. requires puchase from UL. All electrical equipment used in a micro-generator (ex. panels, inverters, optimizers, etc.) must be compliant with UL1714 and is listed in the "Compliance" section of the specifications sheet provided by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Project meets all applicable environmental requirements.
  • Project meets all the micro-generation generating requirements.
  • Not aware of any outstanding objections from any person regarding the project.
